do you know when you read a book that’s just so well written that when you finish it you can’t help but just sit there in silence for a few minutes just thinking about it, and then you reread the last couple pages, and just close the book and kind of stroke the cover in a weird sort of way and just keep thinking because it leaves such a strong impression on you that it just kinda haunts you in the back of your mind for the next few days

Never forget. The van.
So, before I leave to Norway (!!) tomorrow, a little gallifreyan post. It says my thoughts are stars I can’t fathom into constellations (it actually says cannot instead of can’t since I’m still not quite sure how one makes apostrophes in gallifreyan), a quote taken from the wonderful book The Fault in Our Stars by the awesome John Green. I plan to do some colouring though, when I return. Thoughts?

I just received the news that The Fault in Our Stars will debut at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list for YA/chapter books. TFiOS is also #9 on this week’s UK bestseller list for ALL books, which is particularly amazing because it doesn’t even have a UK-specific publisher.

My pleasure, John. It was truly, honestly my pleasure to give you my money. I honestly, non-sarcastically, had a fantastic time with the experience I felt I paid for in reading TFIOS. It was like instead of buying paper, I was buying a ticket to an emotional roller coaster, and as soon as it was done, I wanted to do it again. I am happy that the success that I, in part, brought you has made you feel this good, and I hope it at least partially makes up for the signing madness.
On John Green’s Wikipedia page, in that little info bar on the right of the screen, there is no signature in the signature section. Of all people, John has earned the right to fill that signature section.
TFIOS. It got here early. I solemnly swear that I will NOT open it until, or after, the 10th. I might not even open it, as I’m going to the TDN, and will get a book, guaranteed to be Hanklerfished, at the TDN.
This coming week-ish, Friday to Thursday, my school has a spirit week in celebration of the impending vacation. Looking at the schedule, it’s a week suffering from Signing Psychosis.
Friday: pajama day. That was all non-video days of TFioS craziness, as far as I can tell.
Monday: celebrity day. I plan to wear my Pizza John shirt.
Tuesday: crazy hair day. ‘Nuff said, puff levels will be high.
Wednesday: clash day, we are to wear horribly mismatching clothing. Base level Signing Psychosis symptoms right there.
Thursday: superhero day. I don’t know how I can get a zombie unicorn hat in between now and then, but I intend to.
I don’t know how a Nerdfigher got in charge of this spirit week, but I have no complaints.
Interesting that one of the unchosen titles for The Fault In Our Stars is a different Shakespeare quote from the one he chose in the end, and the other is a Dickinson quote.
